Girl Scouts of Orange County are invited to earn a cybersecurity badge ​​at ​Coastline College’s ONLINE EVENT on Saturday, April 25, 2020 ​9:00AM-2:30PM. The event will ​be ​an ​exciting ​mix ​of ​online ​experiences, ​meeting ​inspirational ​women ​in ​security, ​and ​a capture-the-flag competition. ​ ​All ​interested ​Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors of Orange County ​are ​invited to RSVP. The ​girls ​will ​experience ​cybersecurity lessons ​through ​meeting ​and ​hearing ​from ​women ​working ​in ​security, ​a ​variety ​of ​brain-stretching ​activities, ​and ​an ​opportunity ​to ​talk ​with ​other ​Girl Scouts from Orange County area. ​ ​

Please note: this is a Girl Scouts only event. We will announce additional events soon.

Tentative Agenda:
9:00AM-9:20AM – Intro and Empowerment Discussion
9:20AM-11:45AM – Training Workshops (via Zoom) 
11:45AM-12:00PM – Break (grab your lunch)
12:00PM-1:00PM – Lunch with the Cybersecurity Pros
1:00PM-2:15PM – Capture-the-flag (CTF)
2:15PM-2:30PM – Closing Ceremony


The event will focus on the following badges:
CADETTES – Cybersecurity 2: Safeguards
SENIORS – Cybersecurity 2: Safeguards
AMBASSADORS – Cybersecurity 1: Basics

While it is recommended that the badges be earned in order, it is not necessary. Order badges after the event:

Calling all female professionals in cybersecurity & tech! Join us as a mentor at Coastline College’s online GSOC 2020 event on 04/25/20 12PM-1PM via Zoom. Sign up as a mentor using the link below.

RSVP: Mentors | Chaperones*

*Please register as a chaperone if you are available to help cover the adult/girl ratios for a group during this event. Chaperones must be a GSOC registered member and background screened though GSOC.
