CyberTech ​Girls ​​at ​Coastline Community College ​was ​an ​exciting ​mix ​of  ​hands-on ​capture the flag competition, ​roundtable talks with ​inspirational ​women ​in ​security roles, ​and ​fun at the mock crime scene. ​ ​All ​interested ​middle school and high school ​girls, ​their ​parents, ​coaches, ​mentors, ​and ​teachers ​were ​invited ​to ​attend ​the event that was held on 10/08/16 ​9:00AM-4:00PM. The ​participating girls ​experienced ​cybersecurity lessons ​through ​meeting ​and ​hearing ​from ​women ​working ​in ​security, ​a ​variety ​of ​brain-stretching cyber-related ​activities, ​and ​an ​opportunity ​to ​talk ​with ​other ​girls from Orange County. ​ ​

9:15AM-9:35AM – Welcome, overview, and “Why women in IT?”, binary bracelets workshop
9:35AM-10:20AM – Intro to Forensics
10:30AM-10:45AM – Empowerment Talks & Intro to Panel of Cyber/IT Professionals
10:45AM-1:10PM – Forensics and CTF Workshops, and Roundtable Table Talks (45 minutes each)
1:10PM-3:15PM – Continue Forensics and CTF Workshops
3:15PM-3:30PM – Forensics Puzzle Discussion
3:30PM-4:00PM – Closing Ceremony
